2x2 Beginner Method
Solve the 2x2 one layer at a time using moves from the 3x3 beginner method.
- 1. Introduction
Learn what makes the 2x2 cube tricky, the basic turn notation, and the three algorithms that solve it in four steps.
- 2. Bottom Side
Solve one side of the 2x2 by placing three white pieces and then fixing the last one with a short repeating algorithm.
- 3. Bottom Layer
Finish the first layer of the 2x2 by finding matching corners and swapping the other two with a single algorithm.
- 4. Top Side
Turn the top of the 2x2 all yellow by using the Sune algorithm on any of the seven possible cases.
- 5. Top Layer
Finish the 2x2 by matching the top corners with the same corner-swapping algorithm used for the bottom layer.
